Angelica’s Cake Creations Inc is a home grown family business headed up by Senior Executive Pastry Chef and CEO Curtis Gervais. Curtis began the business in 2012 with the unwavering support of his wife Anna, after studying and working in the Specialty Cake Industry for over 21 years within the heart of New York City. Always keeping family at the center of all that he does Curtis named the company after his youngest daughter Angelica and always works close to home as he serves as the primary caregiver for his mother who is battling Alzheimers.

Curtis originally from Trinidad came to the United States at the young age of 19 as a certified welder. As a means to bring in extra income Curtis began assisting a professional Senior Pastry Chef and within his first week this pastry chef who would later become his mentor explained to him that he had a gift, a “special way of making the craft seem effortless”. Quick and efficient, Curtis was asked to come on full time as a Junior Assistant Pastry Chef, and almost overnight his love for all things pastries was born. Curtis went on to work with award winning chefs, soaking up knowledge, participating in working groups in order to find ways to make his products taste better with the goal of making customers fall in love with each bite.

Curtis quality of work, creativity and unique usages of fondant, butter cream, whip cream, chocolates, modeling chocolate, sculpting fondant, gum paste and edible picture images have secured him a consistent clientele in an incredibly short amount of time. His clients praise his ability to bring any cake to life without sacrificing the rich taste that he feels his customers deserve. Curtis specializes in custom cakes. There is no limit to what he can do; sizes, shapes, colors, flavors if you can dream it, he can make it. His desire to satisfy the customer has often had him working around the clock which is a small sacrifice for the happy customers who return again and again.
